The Clock Tower is forty-five metres high, marks the entrance to the port and serves as a memorial to wartime sailors lost at sea.
Visit to Saint-Michel Environmental Complex (incl. TOHU)
We visit the CESM-SMEC, a converted quarry site which over the years has been home to a sorting centre, a power station and composting facilities. Currently it also houses several cultural and sporting venues including circus mecca TOHU, Cirque du Soleil and a soccer stadium. The linear park encircling the site is used by walkers, runners and cyclists. In 2017, in celebration of the 375th anniversary of Montréal, 17.7 addional hectares of park will be opened to the public.
The CESM site forms an inspiration for a broad range of eco-environmental project development.
